About Q

Renee and me at Old Silver Beach in Cape Cod

I am a transplant from Pittsburgh. I am a die-hard Steeler fan (get over it)! I moved to Baltimore with guy - a great guy. It didn't work out but I ended up meeting the love of my life here in Baltimore.

I worked at a health club for 6 years doing marketing. I met the most wonderful people there and am so grateful for the friendships that started there and continue to this day. The job began as an amazing experience but slowly turned too corporate for me so it was time to jump ship!

I am an artist. I love to create. My real job is my freelance graphic and website design business (www.conceptsbyq.com) and my second job is managing an acupuncture office in Parkville (www.acupuncturebaltimore.com).

I was never a sporty girl but always was interested in fitness. Working at the health club allowed me to get fit. I fell in love with yoga (thanks to one of my dear friends) and just recently, after a brief hiatus, got back onto the yoga "horse"....and in love with it once again.

I have dogs...not kids.

Nothing makes me happier than pizza. My hubby and I went to Chicago and NYC to compare and contrast!

As I mentioned before, I have a great group of bff's in B'more and in da burg but my sister is my bestest friend in the whole world. She is the most amazing person I know and I love her with all my heart.

I love TV (and I hate those people that say "oh I don't even own a TV".....seriously?) I am a reality TV junkie and damn proud of it!

I gravitate to all things dance! Gene Kelly and Fred Astaire are gods! I thank my dad for that - he loves old musicals and taught me to appreciate them. If there is such a thing as reincarnation, I would like to come back as a dancer please! Until then I will continue to be addicted to "So You Think You Can Dance".

Shark Week (Discovery Channel) is my favorite time of year and "Jaws" is my favorite movie. And I am terrified of swimming in water where I can't see beneath me for fear of getting eaten by the most gianormous great white shark! But I would love to go to South Africa on one of those boats that take you on great white shark tours - a dream of mine! I briefly conquered my fear by surfing in Hawaii. Yes, I was scared shitless but I did it. I figured (1) it was Hawaii and how many times am I going to get to do this and (2) the water was crystal clear...at least I would be able to see the shark coming!

Of course I have to mention my parents! The best! My mom and I butted heads for years because I had to do the opposite of what my mom wanted me to do...but we have moved past all that teen/20's drama and now are best friends. I can say anything to her! My dad is the absent minded professor and the greatest guy in the world. I am so like my dad, it is kinda frightening...ha ha!

I am an 80's music junkie! It brings back the best memories - high school! I will do a Reader's Digest version of that period of time: grain-alcohol punch parties, the Padolf's basement, movies at the park, M-side baseball field and boys, boys and more boys!

That's me!
